Hall Hire

There are three rooms you can hire for your event, See below: The large hall, The small hall and the upstairs room.  You can hire the whole hall for £17/hr.

 

The hall has a licence to hold raffles, bingo and other entertainment, including music, bouncy castle, theatre productions, or dancing.  You can serve alcohol, but you would need your own temporary licence if you want to sell alcohol.

 

There is also a kitchen with a hatch that opens into the small hall, separate bathroom facilities, including baby changing facilities and an accessible toilet.  See the booking page for when there are bookings and see if your date is available.

Playing Fields

and Play Equipment

The playing fields in front of the hall are also available to hire or to use.  If you are planning a fête, or outside event, bouncy castle or sports activity, please let us know.

 

The play equipment is maintained by the Village Hall and can be hired for a private event.  However, it is available to use for all the community.

 

There is a working defribulator on the front of the Village Hall entrance, if required follow the instructions, and use the following what 3 words location for all emergency services: ///banquets.stunt.petty

Car Park

The Car Park is free to use for those using the Bowls Club Pavilion, attending football club events or as members of one of the local community groups that hires the facilities.  These users have priority.  If you are attending a wedding or funeral we would appreciate a donation if you would like to use our Car Park. If you have a mobile business and are using our Car Park for commercial use, there will be a small charge. Note approval is at the discretion of the Trustees so please contact us.

 

Equally if you are picking up or dropping off children at the local primary school, please be aware there may not be sufficient space for you, especially on match afternoons or when they have bowls.  There is a Broadland District Council car park up by the Railway Station located at the end of Stacey Road.

Large Hall

This hall has plenty of room for any event.  The windows have been recently replaced so they can be opened and shut easily. There are tables and chairs available and you have easy access to the kitchen.  The hire also includes the use of the kitchen, where basic cultery and crockery are available. The locked cupboards belong to some of the community groups that regularly use the hall. To hire this hall on its own is £12/hr with an hour set up time for half price and 1 hr free tidy away time.  There is the option to show images and presentations.  The hall can accommodate 80 people sitting down as there are two exits.  Where the two halls are hired together, there are 3 fire exists and this increases the number that can be accommodated.

 

Please leave the hall as you find it because it will be set up by another day time group. The Play Group have displays, please do not disturb them, if you need to put up your own signs, please use blue tack on the walls, but remove it once your event is over.

 

Please note there is a £25 deposit to cover cleaning if its needed.  If you clean up after you then you get your money back.

Small Hall

This space is ideal for a small meeting on its own.  This room is separated by a folding door that separates it from the larger space and has a door into the Kitchen that is separate from the one in the large hall.   There are often colourful displays on the wall, as shown in the picture, these are work of the children in the playschool, so please be careful with them.  If you have signs or decorations please use other walls.

 

The hire also includes the use of the kitchen, where basic cultery and crockery are available. The locked cupboards belong to some of the community groups that regularly use the hall.

 

If you would like to hire this hall it costs £9.50/hr.  Or if you want to hire it with the large hall that would be £17/hr together.  There is an hour set up time at half price and 1hr free closing time. There are two exits and therefore seated occupancy is between 20 and 35 depending upon whether tables are included.

Upstairs Office

The upstairs office space is ideal if you want to have a small meetiing, or get some work done or are doing some admin.  This can accommodate between 5 to 10 people as there is only one door.

 

If you would like to hire this out separately its £7/hr.
