Governance

There are two tiers of governance; the Trustees and the Management Committee and each has a different role, but all of us are volunteers.

The Trustees are responsible for the financial sustainability of the Village Hall and the playing fields. This group of volunteers aim to identify any risks and mitigate them, as well as ensure the building, car park and playing fields are in good working repair.  We are also there to ensure there are sufficient finances incoming to cover its running costs, or obtain grants to pay for larger capital costs of improvement or repair.  There are currently 6 Trustees, if you would like know how to be one, then please let us know by sharing your details with Gloria via enquiries@buxtonvillagehallnorfolk.org.uk.

The Management Committee is represented by each one of the community groups that regularly use the Village Hall. They support the Trustees in managing the Hall and grounds in its day to day function.  The attend regular meetiings where issues are discussed and actions agreed.  The Chair of the committee is responsible for communication between the trustees and the Management Committee, and ensuring minutes of meetings are taken and shared.

There are a number of roles that are needed to ensure that information flows, issues and opportunities are discussed and agreed.  Some of those decisions may require community groups to discuss the points and get back with their answers before the next meeting.
