We play in three afternoon leagues, one evening league, and have friendly matches with neighbouring clubs throughout North Norfolk and Broadland, additionally we have frequent informal practice sessions, (roll ups), where anyone interested is welcome to participate.
You’ll find us a friendly crowd and everyone is welcome to come along to watch, chat and have a cup of tea! Dates and locations of all our matches are displayed on the Notice Board outside the Clubhouse.

We operate from Buxton Village Hall, five days a week during term time. Within the preschool team we have three Keyperson groups which are: Butterflies, Ladybirds and Bumblebees.
Each group provides your child with a designated Keyperson to tailor their individual learning and development. At Buxton Preschool Playgroup we pride ourselves in providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment for children to flourish. Children and parents are given time to enable the child to settle with flexible sessions to suit, meeting the needs of both child and parents.
We are a charity registered organisation, run by a committee of pre-school parents. For more information see their website below. The manager is Sonja White.

Buxton Photographic Club was formed back in September 1990 after some chance remarks in the local village shop. At the inaugural meeting nearly 60 people packed into the very small classroom in the local primary school, and today it’s still going strong.
Buxton Photographic Club (BPC) is affiliated to the East Anglian Federation of Photographic Societies (EAF) and the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB). BPC’s home is based in the village hall;
it meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday at 7.30pm each month (with the exception of August).
We are a small local camera club, where we aim to provide a warm, social and welcoming approach to photography. Every one from a total novice to experienced photographer, whether you have a phone camera, a point and shoot camera, or a SLR. It’s the person behind the camera that’s the important element in photography.
Our members represent a broad spectrum of abilities from beginners to seasoned photographers, with members specialising in all types of photography, from Wild life, Landscape, Architectural, Still Life, Studio, the list goes on. Members with these skills are more than happy to pass on their skills learnt, through events, tutorials, and external speakers, to members wishing to explore the world of photography. Our aim is to enable all members to achieve their goals in whatever form through our very friendly club activities, which also includes, competitions and outings to various venues, and locations of interest.
You are more than welcome to along to a couple of meetings at no cost to test the water and see if the club is for you
We aim to have at least three location shoots every year. These are normally in the summer to get the greatest daylight hours but may also be night shoots in the winter. The start time of these outings may be earlier than the usual start time so check the programme and keep an eye on your emails.

The Picto Trust was set up by Sir John Picto after his death in 1498. Sir john Picto was appointed as the Vicor of Buxton Church In 1455. He was a man of good family and fortune and became a great benefactor to this church and parish.
He purchased land in Buxton & Hautbois, and settled it on Trustees, or Feoffees, who were to use the rent from this land to pay taxes for the inhabitants of Buxton, with anything left over to be used for the poor of Buxton.
This was the origin of the Picto charity, but it has been added to over the years by a number of other benfactors such as; Roger Docking, George Rogers, John Kemp and others.
In order to increase their income the Trustees at the time built on part of the land they owned, the eight cottages now known as the Feoffee Yard, or in other words the Trustees cottages. These are still managed by the Picto Trustees who select the tenants from people with Buxton connections.
John Picto also rebuilt the north aisle of the church and his effigy in his priest's habit was put in one of the windows. He died in 1498 and was buried before the High Altar in the church.
The purpose of the Picto Trust as a charity is to maintain, administer property and land in the ownership of the charity. It aims to relieve either generally or individually, those residents in the Parish of Buxton with Lamas who are in conditions of need or hardship or distress. For further information contact the Picto Trust.
